Anna-Maria Helsing is one of the most renowned and in-demand conductors of her generation, and a pioneer in the sense that she was the first woman in Finland to receive a Chief Conductor tenure. Her eagerly-awaited visit to our orchestra is now to take place in a Wagner-oriented programme. The soloist is Swedish soprano Julia Sporsén, famous for her expressive performance and ability to live the part.
