Prokofiev: Peter and the Wolf Today’s concert is an open invitation to hear Peter and the Wolf, the musical fairytale by Sergei Prokofiev, in a real live concert performance. A classic familiar to many of us from our schooldays, it is still a wonderful introduction to the orchestra and its various instruments. It is also an easy and entertaining way for younger – to say nothing of older – listeners to enter the fascinating world of orchestral music. The narration, by actor Kari Arffman, will be in Finnish.
